Jen Whiting
Masters Competitive Head Coach

Jen Whiting has been involved in Masters rowing since 2006. Although she rowed in the Pacific Northwest in college in the 1980s, as an adult she found that she’s a much faster coxswain than she ever was a rower. She has coxed for myriad Masters clubs, winning two world championships, multiple national championships, and an indoor world championship. Jen has been coaching for four years; three at The Hun School, one at The College of New Jersey and now she leads the Mercer Masters competitive squad. A US Rowing Level Two coach, Jen is also a regular contributor to Rowing Magazine (rowingnews.com) and is the founder of Coxing Magazine (coxingmagazine.com). Jen Didun
Masters Recreational/Intermediate Coach

Jen began coaching with the Mercer Masters Learn to Row program in June 2019 and has continued to work with the Mercer Masters Recreational program throughout the year. Jen was a 4 year member of the Rutgers University Rowing Team where she was recruited as a freshman novice having no prior rowing experience. She was captain her junior and senior years and graduated from Rutgers in 2017 with a double major in Psychology and Sociology.

Jamie Hamp
Masters Recreational/Intermediate Coach

Jamie has been coaching for the Mercer Masters since fall 2018. Jamie began coaching with the Mercer Junior Boys program in the fall of 2016, taking over the role as Varsity Boys Head Coach in September of 2018. In addition to coaching at Mercer, Jamie has coached at West Side Rowing Club, Canisius High School and Deerfield Academy.
